The Georgia State athletics department enjoyed a top-notch summer in the classroom as Panther student-athletes compiled a 3.29 grade-point average for the semester.

Ravin Gilbert and Alysiah Whittaker were named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic team. Student-athletes had to achieve both a 3.25 GPA and earn NCAA postseason status to make the team.

GSU incoming javelin thrower Lauren Sims won the Hershey Youth Outdoor National Championship on July 4 in Illinois.
